Amenities
The ski palace members are a group of 20- and
30-somethings from Boston, New Hampshire, New York and Connecticut.
The core of the Ski Palace members has been renting ski houses and
coming up together for the past 4 years. Every year we add some new
faces to the crowd. For all of us, it’s not only about skiing and
riding, it’s about meeting cool people!
The house is about 50/50 men and women, and 50/50
skiers and riders. There’s a range of skill level from beginners to
expert, so you’ll have no problem finding a buddy to tear it up on
Bunny Buster or on Outer Limits.
The layout of the Ski Palace is great for both
early risers and for those who like hanging out latenight. The first
floor of the Ski Palace, which houses the gameroom, has no bedrooms.
This serves as a great place for hosting afterhours, without bugging
the “hardcore” early-risers.
The Ski Palace has the following key features:
• 8 Person Outdoor Hottub • 5 Bedrooms • Fireplace
• Gameroom (pool table, darts, Centipede arcade game) • A beer
fridge (don’t worry, there’s a normal fridge too!) • Plenty of
parking • Very clean house, with tons of natural light • A mix of
queen, full and twin beds. • A place to store skis, boards, boots,
etc. •
The Rules:
Follow the golden rule – be courteous to your new
friends. Leave Palace as you found it – clean, dark, and cold.
Expect to share food and drink.
Reservation policy:
There is a sign-up at the beginning of the season
for weekends. Reservations are for Friday & Saturday nights – no
reservations for weekdays. Members can go up on weekends they are
not signed up for, but don’t get a bed if signed up members are at
the house. There is a website and e-mail list so members can see who
is heading up for a given weekend. Members can bring guests for $40
a guest. Guests are welcome, but Palace Members always have sleeping
priority (i.e., guests always last to get a bed). If you and your
guests can field a basketball team, you brought too many.
A website for signing up for weekends, checking
who else is heading up, a message board for trading weekends, and
for posting incriminating pictures of members at happy hour or in
the hottub -
