ABOUT THE HOUSE
The Lake Placid Retreat is a newly renovated 4 bedroom/2
bathroom chalet
with giant bay windows, mountain views, fireplace, king and queen size
beds,
high speed internet access, DVD players and Cable TV. Tucked away
on a
private full acre of spruce and pine forest, the house is at the same
time
just a short 5 minute walk to the Village of Lake Placid and all its
bars
and restaurants. Whiteface Mountain is a 10 minute drive and a
free
shuttle stops a 2 minute walk from the house.
DIRECTIONS
By car, Lake Placid is 4.5-5 hours from New York City. Go north on the
New
York Thruway/Rt. 87 150 miles to Albany. At Albany take exit 24
toward
Montreal/Northway/Adirondack Region and continue on 87 North for
approximately 110 miles to Exit 30 Keene Valley/Keene/Lake Placid. Go
left
off the exit ramp on Route 9 which later becomes Route 74. Route
73 ends in
Lake Placid at Route 86/Main Street. Take a left on Route 86/Main Street
and
follow it through town past the Hilton a four way intersection marked by
St.
Agnes Church. Turn Right at this intersection onto Stevens Road.
Go 1/10
of a mile and take your second left off Stevens onto Cayuga Way. We're
at
the end of Cayuga Way. The Adirondack Regional Airport, served by
Continental Express, is 16 miles from Lake Placid. Amtrak and
Adirondack
Trailways also serve Lake Placid.

Off peak (November, First half of December) 4 day/3 night weekend: $690
Regular Ski Season (January 5-April 1): $950 4 day/3 night weekend,
$2000 weekly
New Year's week (December 29-January 5): $3200/weekly only
